ARCH Medical Solutions expansion nearly doubles size of Philadelphia campus
Continuing its rapid growth and evolution, ARCH Medical Solutions ("AMS") has expanded its campus in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, to better serve customers in need of contract medical device manufacturing. With a new 25,000-square-foot facility, the expansion nearly doubles the size of the ARCH Medical Solutions – Philadelphia presence to 58,550 square feet. Company leadership, employees, local dignitaries, and elected officials recently celebrated the facility's grand opening at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“It's been through the hard work and efforts of the ARCH – Philly team that we've been able to make the investment to build this state-of the-art manufacturing facility," said Paul Barck, Divisional President of ARCH Medical Solutions. "This expansion facility is a representation of our ability to grow our business and expand our operations with the goal of helping our customers support their patients and to provide new jobs to the community. The team here specializes in the manufacturing of medical devices, specifically orthopedic implants for the spine, trauma, extremities markets. These products help patients ranging from young children who have scoliosis to people who had an unfortunate fall, injury or accident and require repair of a fractured joint or bone structure.”

The new ARCH Medical Solutions facility bolsters the company's precision medical manufacturing capabilities and strengthens its position as a leading, diversified supplier in the medical device contract manufacturing market. The Huntingdon Valley campus now has more than 13,000 square feet dedicated to Swiss machining and finishing services; a staff of 175, an increase of 15 employees with up to 20 more expected to be hired; a vacuum furnace; and an innovative prototype cell supporting internal tooling and fixturing as well external customer projects, among other benefits. The expansion supports the full range of ARCH Medical Solutions departments and initiatives, from tactical planning, purchasing, accounting, human resources and business development to quality assurance, quality control, continuous improvement, information technology, engineering, and 3D printing.
Eli Crotzer, ARCH President and CEO, said the Philadelphia campus is the realization of the ideals of ARCH Medical Solutions as a cutting-edge precision manufacturer always pursuing better solutions for medical OEMs.
