ARCH® Cutting Tools Corp. acquires North American Carbide: ‘Transformational acquisition’ strategically expands its engineered cutting solutions capabilities

Medical Machining Specialists acquired by ARCH Medical Solutions 

ARCH Medical Solutions Corp., an ARCH Global Precision Company (“ARCH”), on Nov. 8, 2021, acquired Medical Machining Specialists (“MMS”). Based outside Memphis in Olive Branch, Mississippi, MMS is a full-service manufacturer of surgical instruments for the spine, orthopedic, trauma, and extremity markets. The 20,000-square-foot MMS manufacturing space and its 65 employees join ARCH Medical Solutions (“AMS”) as a third facility at the ARCH Medical Solutions – Memphis location. Adding MMS to a family of strategically located facilities around the country solidifies ARCH Medical Solutions as an industry-leading supplier with a reputation for growth and scale in the medical products market.

Paul Barck, Divisional President of ARCH Medical Solutions, said the MMS acquisition adds another area of expertise to AMS.

“MMS brings the very specialized manufacturing capability to produce tissue retractors for minimally invasive spinal procedures,” Barck said. “These devices are among the most complex surgical instruments manufactured and require unique skill sets and manufacturing processes. Metalcraft Technologies acquired by ARCH Precision Components

ARCH Precision Components Corp. (“ARCH PC”), on Nov. 8, 2021, acquired Metalcraft Technologies Inv., LLC (“MTI”) located in Cedar City, Utah. For more than 30 years, MTI has been a premier manufacturer of complex aircraft components and structural assemblies for some of the most sophisticated aircraft flying today in the military, commercial, and private aircraft sectors. Specializing in sheet metal fabrication, machining, and chemical processing for the aerospace and defense industries, MTI occupies 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space in two facilities and joins ARCH Precision Components as ARCH – Cedar City. The acquisition ensures ARCH Precision Components remains an industry-leading supplier known for growth and scale in the aerospace and defense market.

Precision Screw Machine Products acquired by ARCH Precision Components

ARCH Precision Components Corp. (“ARCH PC”), on Nov. 5, 2021, acquired Precision Screw Machine Products Inc. (“PSMP”) located in Biddeford, Maine. Established in 1960, PSMP is a manufacturer of precision products for the military, semiconductor, fluid control and medical industries, serving customers across the United States. With strengths in both CNC turning and milling, they bring additional value to the ARCH platform. To enhance efficiencies and further increase capacity, the highly skilled team and equipment from PSMP will be moved into the ARCH – Arundel facility over the next (3) months. The acquisition ensures ARCH Precision Components remains an industry-leading precision manufacturer known for growth and scale.

Wilsey Tool Company, Inc., Isimac Manufacturing Company, Inc., and Choice Precision, Inc. acquired by ARCH Medical Solutions

ARCH Medical Solutions Corp., an ARCH Global Precision Company (“ARCH”), on Sept. 1, 2021, acquired three VfD Technologies (“VFD”) companies: Wilsey Tool Company, Inc. (“Wilsey”) in Quakertown, Pennsylvania; Isimac Manufacturing Company, Inc. (“Isimac”) in Blandon, Pennsylvania; and Choice Precision, Inc. (“Choice”) in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. Each company specializes in precision contract manufacturing for the medical device industry with added expertise in machining robotic end-effectors for specialty robotics and factory automation applications. In addition, the companies serve numerous customers in other complementary industries. The new acquisitions join ARCH Medical Solutions collectively as ARCH Medical Solutions – Lehigh Valley, solidifying ARCH as an industry-leading supplier known for growth and scale in the medical products market.

Titan Medical Manufacturing acquired by ARCH Medical Solutions Corp.

ARCH Medical Solutions Corp. (“ARCH”) on July 19, 2021, acquired Titan Medical Manufacturing, LLC (“Titan”) with operations in Bartlett, Tennessee, and Lexington, Tennessee. Titan is dedicated to the manufacturing of high-quality surgical implants, devices and instruments and engineering solutions serving the orthopedic industry, with a relentless focus on product quality and patient safety. The two newly acquired facilities and operations join ARCH Medical Solutions, solidifying ARCH as a leading, diversified supplier with a reputation for growth and scale in the medical products market. Spanning approximately 80,000 square feet, the Titan facilities support a wide range of advanced core competencies that complement the existing manufacturing capabilities at ARCH locations across the country.

ARCH Global Precision announces sale of ARCH Precision Components Corp.

ARCH Global Precision, LLC (“ARCH”) on April 19, 2021, announced that its majority shareholder, The Jordan Company, L.P. (“TJC”), and ARCH have reached a definitive agreement to sell ARCH Precision Components Corp. (“ARCH PC”) to funds affiliated with Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC (“MDP”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to have found the ideal new home and investment partner for the ARCH PC business,” said Eli Crotzer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ARCH who, upon completion of the transaction, will also join the Board of Directors of the new ARCH PC standalone company. “MDP understands ARCH PC’s business, its customers and the markets it serves, and I am confident that ARCH PC will continue to grow as a newly-independent company. Tier ONE is a leading contract manufacturer of high-precision assemblies and other devices serving various segments in the life science research, and medical diagnostic and laboratory equipment markets. The newly acquired plant and operations joins ARCH Medical Solutions (“AMS”), bolstering ARCH as a diversified supplier noted for growth and scale in the medical products market. ARCH Global Precision (“ARCH”) on Jan. 11, 2021, acquired the LISI Medical Jeropa, Inc. (“LISI Jeropa”) located in Escondido, California. A subsidiary of LISI Medical, the Jeropa plant is a leading contract manufacturer of high-precision medical implants, instruments, and other devices serving a variety of segments in the orthopaedic, dental, and cardiovascular markets. The newly acquired plant and operations will join ARCH Medical Solutions (“AMS”), bolstering ARCH as a diversified supplier noted for growth and scale within the medical device market. The acquired facility features an impressive breadth of core competencies and provides a strategic location supporting contract manufacturing demands across the United States and beyond.
